SHIPMENT QUALITY VERFICATIONS TO CONTROL THE SUPPLIER'S ACTIONS

Usually, the only way to determine quality and quantity of
piece goods is inspect of cargo before loading and during loading. AIM

quantity verification AIM Control provides our client or
his representative (buyers, forwarders, logistic and agent) with
cargo pre-shipment report, results reports, which contain quality and quantitative
data, weight, and brief quality and qualitative description of the cargo. On
completion of cargo operations AIM Control issues the Quality and
Quantity Statement and Quality and Quantity Inspection Report.
and then, AIM Control's agree with seller to load the cargo into
containers and ship's holds while buyer and AIM Control's client's approval on
quality of shipment. Under loading, AIM Control Tally-men and / or inspectors
conduct the tally of quantity and lashing/securing condition and checking
& witness of sealing.
After collecting of shipping document, AIM Control issue the
final Quality and Quantity Certificate.

Regarding to the goods are exported, AIM Control's Quality
Verification & Quantity Verifications providing based on Quality controls, inspections, verifications,
identification, measurement, weighing, testing, sampling &
analysis called Quality Controls Pre-shipment inspection services (PSI)
on goods before loading; AIM Control's loading
supervisions, tally of quantity, witness of
sealing for containers and others called Loading Verification
(LV or LS) on goods period of loading to issue the Certification of
Verification/ Inspection (COI).
Kind of goods and object vverification An important aspect
about the goods to be exported is compulsory quality controls and pre-shipment verification. Quality controls and pre-shipment verification are prerequisite for
exporting goods. Under the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act,
International, about 1,000 commodities under the major group of: Food and
Agriculture, Fishery, Minerals, Organic Chemicals, Rubber Products,
Refractories, Ceramic Products, Pesticides, Light Engineering Steel Product,
Jute Products, Coir and Coir Products, Footwear and Footwear
Products/Components, manufacturer and vendor factories are subject to compulsory Quality control/ pre-shipment verification/inspection.
Scope of main verification: Quality and quantity
verification (controls and inspection) before loading and period loading to
issue the Certification of Inspection.
Place / local of verification: At the supplier's
premises, port of loading, place of loading, vendor factories, manufacturers at
countries of exporting of goods.
Period of verification: before open L/C (as factory
verification), period of production (quality monitoring), final production
& pre-shipment, before loading (as final quality verification and controls,
pre-shipment inspections) and period of loading, time of sealing (loading supervision,
tally of quantity, witness of sealing).
Certification of verification (Inspection): after
verification completed, AIM Control will issue the Certification of Inspection
(verification) to you (as results) and photos (as the evidences).
Sometimes
overseas buyers lay their own standards/specifications which may or may not be
in consonance with the international standards. They may also upon Quality
controls/ inspection and verification by their own nominated agencies of AIM
Control Inspection Group. These issues should be sorted out before confirmation
of order.
Specific
provisions have also been made for compulsory Quality controls/ inspection/
verification of textile goods. Products having PSI Certification mark or Agmark are not
required to be inspected by AIM Control Inspection Group. These products do not
fall within the purview of the export Quality control/inspection of AIM Control
Inspection Group network. The Customs Authorities allow shipment of such goods
with Quality control/ inspection certificate provided by AIM Control Inspection
Group.
Consignment
to consignment Quality control verification / inspections under this scheme the
application (in duplicate) for Quality control/ verification/ inspection for goods has to be
submitted well in advance to AIM Control Inspection Group, in the new
prescribed form ‘intimation for Quality control/ verification’, before the expected
date of shipment of the consignment. Quality control/verification of the consignment is generally
carried out either at the premises of the exporter, provided adequate
facilities exist therein for Quality control/inspection, or at the port of
shipment.
After
satisfying itself that the consignment of exportable goods meets the
requirements stipulated in the export contract/order, the Quality
control/inspection and verification of AIM Control Inspection Group
issues, generally within some days of receipt of intimation for Quality
control/ inspection & verification,
the necessary certificate of inspection to the exporter in the prescribed
proforma in five copies.
The
certificate is issued in the standardised form which is aligned pre-shipment
export document. (Three copies for exporter, original copy for customs use, the
second copy for the use of the foreign buyers and the third copy for the
exporter's use, fourth copy for Data Bank, Export Quality control/Inspection
Council, and the fifth copy is retained with the AIM Control Inspection Group).
EXPORT
(QUALITY CONTROL & INSPECTION) ACT, INTERNATIONAL:
The
Export Quality control/Inspection Council is responsible for the operation of
this Act. Under the Act, a large number of exportable commodities have been
notified for compulsory Quality control/ pre-shipment inspection. The quality
control and verification of various export products is administered through AIM
Control Inspection Group network of more than fifty offices located around
major production centres and ports of shipment. In addition, AIM Control
Inspection Group may be recognized as agencies for verification, inspection and
/or quality control.
Documents
required for quality controls &
verifications:
There
are certain forms and documents that are necessary for quality control and
pre-shipment inspection. The following documents need to be submitted along
with the application:
(i)
Particulars of the consignment intended to be exported
(ii)
Copy of commercial invoice
(iii)
Copy of Letter of Credit
(iv)
Details of packing specifications
(v)
Copy of the export order/contract, indicating inter alia the buyer’s
requirement that goods are strictly according to the prescribed specifications
or as per samples

Control’s In-Process Quality verification/
inspection:
· In-Process Quality Verification/
Inspection by an AIM Control Quality Representative is the selective inspection & verification of the product/components/subassembly
at different stages of the production line. This is carried out when the
product is in current production. In-Process Quality Verification Inspection is
customer mandated and focuses on specific objectives:
Find the root causes of production
defects detected during final Quality verification
& control/inspection.
In-Process Quality Verification can be used by the customer with the
objective of reducing on-going 100% Quality control/inspection of all
production lots. It can be used with other AIM Control Supplier Quality
Controls and Verification Services to bring the supplier into a
state of Supplier Quality Self Control.

Verify the execution of Corrective Action Report (CAR) by the Supplier
Production Team.
2. Inspect and identify
and detect poor quality linkages at different production stations.
3. Product and component quality verification and inspection before assembly.
